Scramble for the Jr. High Golfers -Wed. 4-1-2010++++Happy Birthday to Coach Ricky!!

Winners of the Golf Scramble today was Jason O'Rear, Garrett Butler, & Nick Sparkman.  They played the front nine

and shot -1.  Congratulations boys.  I'll try to think of a prize for you.    All scores were very close.

 

When we were at Seminole on Monday the boys overheard kids saying, "Idabel!!! Where is Idabel?"  One kid answered

saying, "Oh, they were the ones that had the pull carts."  I told Coach Ricky this today and he said, "Well, by the time we

get finished they will know where Idabel is."  I loved his comment.  Go Idabel!!!!!!

 

Happy Birthday, Coach Ricky!!!  Thanks for all you do for golf and kids.  We would not have this program without you.

  Idabel Jr. High Boy's Golf Team won the tournament in Seminole on Monday (3-29-2010).  Individual scores: Taylor Nichols 1st place, Nick Stauter 4th place, Dalton Stacey 9th place and Jason O'Rear 10th place.

Garrett Butler was the number 5 golfer to go to Seminole and he had scores that contributed to the team score.  There were 12 teams participating.

Those students wishing to playing or practice on Tuesday please come after school on Tuesday.  Those students that are suppose to come on Tuesday be sure to come.  It's your day!!!!

 

Coach Ricky leaves 3- 30-2010 taking the High School Boys to Seminole.  They won the Valliant tournament today played in Idabel.  There were 6 golfers that shot in the 70's.  Great going boys.

No Monday Golf for the Jr. High Golf Team!

There will be a tournament being played at the Country Club on Monday so Jr. High Golf after school will be cancelled. 

Those that come on Tuesday plan to be at the Club after school.

Sunday--10:30 a.m.--Jr. High Boys

We will meet at the Country Club at 10:30 a.m. to go to Seminole.  The boys will be playing a practice round at Seminole Sunday afternoon.

Please dress in dark pants (no jeans) and a red shirt if you have one(this will be for the tournament on Monday).  If you don't have a red shirt take a white one.  Take a warm up also. 

You can always take off layers.  The girls and I discovered that the wind around the City area can be brutal making the temperatures much colder.  Your dress for Sunday should be a golf shirt and pants

(no jeans). 

Food will not be paid for so you will need money for food for the two days.

 

We are going to have a great trip.

Be sure you have your forms filled out and notarized and to me by Friday.  Wish we could take all of the boys but just can't.  Keep working on your golf game.

Congratulations to the Jr. High Girls for placing in the Ardmore Golf tournament!!

   Jr. High Girls tied for third place as a team at Ardmore today.  Maddie Lehr won 2nd place and Ali White won fifth place.

Jr. High Girls---come prepared to play golf tomorrow after school.  There will be six girls playing for the 4th and 5th position for our trip to Ardmore

                                        on Tuesday.  Please be on time (3:30 p.m.).

Jr. High Boys--come prepared to play golf tomorrow after school.  We will be keeping scores between now and the 27th to determine who will be

                                        the top 5 players that will be going to Seminole on March 29th.

Qualifying for 4th & 5th position-girls golf team

 Jr. High positions for Ardmore are:  1) Ali  2) Maddie   3) Emilee Wicker 

 

Jr. High girls will be qualifying for the 4th and 5th position for the Ardmore tournament on Monday (March 22nd).

Those qualifying will be McKennia, Chloe, Isa, Samantha, Emily Ray,  and Sarah. 

Those on the practice range/green are Callie, Christen, & Erin on Monday.

* There will be no practice on Tuesday-March 23rd.  Coach Ricky will be in Broken Bow with the High School Team and

   Coach Dugan will be in Ardmore with the Jr. High Girls.

* All players going on these trips will have to have their Transportation Release Forms signed and turned in before going.

   We have to have this done every time we go on a trip.  Please make it easy on the coaches and get these turned in. 

   You can get a form from Sally in the Club Pro Shop.

Dress for Ardmore

Jr. High Girls please wear a red golf shirt and warm-up pants (maybe dark shorts or pants under the warm-up pants) to Ardmore.

Durant Middle School Tournament

There will be no practice on Thursday due to the tourn. We will leave from the country club parking lot at 6:00 AM . Please remember that the school doesn't provide us food money so please be prepared to buy snacks. The tournament provides lunch after play. The tournament will begin at 9:00 at Durant CC. The girls will play 9 holes and the boys play 18.
